Announcing First U.S. Team of Autistic Children to the "Genius Cup" in Hiroshima, Japan

MIAMI - WisconsinEagle -- With a 14-year career in social innovation, Oscar Amuz—Founder and CEO of Autism Soccer—announces a groundbreaking initiative: the creation of the first U.S. national soccer team for autistic children, set to represent the United States at the 7th Genius Cup in Hiroshima, Japan, in March 2027.

The project will take a delegation of 14 autistic players and specialized professionals to compete internationally and serve as ambassadors for neurodiversity. Through sport, the team will demonstrate that with the right methodology, barriers—geographical, social, or diagnostic—can be overcome.

"Taking these children to Hiroshima is not just about competition; it's a statement that talent thrives when proper support exists," said Amuz.

Founded in 2013 through the Hope for Autism United for Soccer Foundation Inc., Autism Soccer has grown into an internationally recognized educational and business ecosystem. At its core is the Rivera Methodology©️ (RIVER)—a specialized training system built on tactical, visual, and auditory development—designed to prepare athletes physically, sensorially, and socially.
