Globally recognized certification encourages continuous improvement in food safety and quality in processing operations
KENOSHA, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Colbert Packaging, the leading Midwest independently-owned paperboard packaging manufacturer (colbertpkg.com) announces receipt of SQF certification from the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI). The certification program offers a rigorous framework that integrates food safety and quality management principles. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) identifies SQF as an approval process for GFSI qualification and is globally recognized. It aims to help manufacturers and processors demonstrate their ability to product safe, high-quality food, and ancillary products such as packaging, that meet regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.
"Our pharmaceutical and consumer products customers have always demanded food-safe, quality secondary packaging, and SQF certification is the preferred path," says Colbert's Corporate Quality Systems Manager, Nick Stober. "This certification facilitates continuous improvement through its structured approach."
