New children's book uses the colors of the rainbow as a metaphor for emotions
WAUSAU, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Elementary educator and young mother Melissa Fetting never dreamed she would need to guide her kids through the grief process. However, navigating the complex grief journey became a full-time challenge when their world turned upside down with the sudden passing of Melissa's husband and the children's father, Tim.
Now Melissa has turned those lessons into an illustrated children's book entitled The Grief Rainbow: Emotions Come in Many Colors (M&B Global Solutions Inc.) The Grief Rainbow uses the colors of the rainbow as a metaphor to illustrate how no two days are the same during the grief journey, and it is okay to feel every emotion along the way.
