Open Hearts, Open Homes starts the official countdown for the launch of Chosen's new Mobile Family Closet, set to hit the streets in late 2025. This innovative, mobile resource will bring clothing and essential supplies directly to underserved communities, and to foster and adoptive families who might face challenges with transportation or child care.
Since 2017, The Family Closet (https://www.choseninlove.org/thefamilycloset) has provided essential resources to foster and adoptive families, operating entirely through donations. Its flagship location in Waukesha has distributed more than 70,000 items to 700 families, across 13 southeastern Wisconsin counties. The new Mobile Family Closet will strengthen community partnerships and bring support closer to families in need.
The Open Hearts, Open Homes Gala (https://www.choseninlove.org/gala) is Chosen's largest fund-raiser, directly supporting hands-on programs, outreach and educational initiatives for foster and adoptive families. The evening promises to once again be filled with warmth, encouragement and a shared commitment to "Fostering Forever Families."
