Wholesale Cloud and Telco Provider Leverages netElastic Software to Deliver Scalable Connectivity to Australia's MSP Market
SYDNEY - WisconsinEagle -- netElastic, a leading innovator in software solutions for broadband, today announced that Hosted Network, a leading Australian wholesale cloud and telecommunications provider, is accelerating its national growth with netElastic's software-based networking platform to deliver reliable, scalable connectivity services to managed service providers (MSPs) across the country.
Operating exclusively as a B2B provider, Hosted Network supports more than 300 Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners with business-grade services delivered across four major data centers in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. At the core of this success is netElastic software running on standard Dell x86 servers. By combining netElastic virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG) and Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT) with the netVision GUI-based manager, the software platform enables Hosted Network to deliver performance and operational efficiency at scale.
"netElastic is fundamental to how we run our business," said Ben Town, CEO of Hosted Network. "It gives us the control, flexibility, and reliability we need to serve our MSP partners effectively."
The Shift Away from Hardware Telco Models
Hosted Network selected netElastic after evaluating vendors such as Juniper and MikroTik, citing high costs, limited flexibility, and complex deployment models as key challenges. In contrast, netElastic offered a modern, software-driven approach, backed by responsive support and hands-on guidance, which are critical factors for a growing telco entering the National Broadband Network (NBN) market.

The company initially deployed the platform in a virtualized environment, allowing for rapid implementation and streamlined testing. As demand grew, Hosted Network transitioned to a hybrid model, running high-availability BNGs on physical infrastructure for core services, while maintaining virtual instances for smaller deployments and lab environments. This flexible architecture continues to support efficient scaling while minimizing operational risk.
API-driven Telco Operations with netVision
A major differentiator has been netElastic's netVision API-driven functionality, which allows Hosted Network to extend self-service capabilities directly to its MSP partners. Customers can perform key network operations, such as monitoring connections and managing sessions, without relying on support tickets, significantly reducing resolution times and operational overhead.
"Time to resolution is critical for our partners," Town added. "By integrating directly with netElastic's systems, we can provide faster, smarter support and a better overall customer experience."
Combining BNG and CGNAT Reduces TCO While Increasing Scale
netElastic's integrated CGNAT solution for IPv4 preservation has also delivered substantial cost savings and operational simplicity. By combining BNG and CGNAT into a unified platform, Hosted Network avoids the complexity and expense of managing multiple vendor solutions, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and streamlined service delivery.
In addition, the platform's hardware independence allows Hosted Network to manage infrastructure on its own terms, decoupling hardware refresh cycles from software upgrades and reducing downtime risk. This flexibility enables the company to scale efficiently while maintaining consistent performance, even during peak demand.

"As CEO, I don't want to worry about BNG. netElastic gives us the freedom to grow without constraints," said Town. "It's a platform we don't have to think about, and that's exactly what you want at the core of your network."
Software Drives Future Expansion
Looking ahead, Hosted Network is expanding its footprint with plans to enter South Australia, while continuing its IPv6 rollout nationwide. The company also plans to further enhance its service capabilities through AI-driven analytics, leveraging data from netElastic's software platform to improve support and customer insights.
Weixiao Liu, CEO of netElastic, commented on the partnership: "What stands out in this partnership is how Hosted Network has used our technology not just to reduce costs, but to fundamentally improve how they deliver services to their MSP customers. By combining performance, automation, and hardware independence, they've built a network that's both resilient and future-ready. We're proud to support their growth and innovation, and we look forward to continuing this journey together."
