(MADISON, Wis.) ~ Construction for the Blair Street South project will resume on Monday, March 20th, with a focus on improvements to infrastructure such as water, sanitary and pavement. As part of this phase, vehicles travelling northbound on South Blair Street will be merged towards the median and vehicles travelling outbound/eastbound on E. Washington Avenue will be merged to the median lane. Additionally, the sidewalk along eastbound E. Washington Avenue between Blair Street and Blount Street will be closed.

City of Madison City Engineer Jim Wolfe stated that they are working to minimize disruptions during this time and thanked everyone for their patience and understanding. The existing bus stop access will remain while periodic work along S. Blair Street and John Nolen Drive is ongoing. The entire project is expected to be completed by fall 2023.
