Madison: Monona Terrace Public Tours Resume Thursday

Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center is resuming public tours on Thursday, June 17. Visitors to the facility can take an in person guided tour and learn about the history of Frank Lloyd Wright's "dream civic center" project for his hometown of Madison. During our hour long guided tours, visitors experience Wright's trademarks of dramatic open spaces, strong geometric forms, and breathtaking views of Lake Monona.

Tours are available Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays at 1 pm. Admission is $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per student age 5-17. Children 4 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Monona Terrace Gift Shop. Visitors are asked to review our health and safety guidelines prior to taking a tour.

Monona Terrace shifted its tour program online due to the pandemic, offering virtual architectural tours and educational programming to school and adult groups via Zoom. Groups of 10 or more can request a virtual or in person tour or other architectural program that can be tailored to a meet a group's interest.

Monona Terrace William T. Evjue Rooftop Garden Hours:
Sunday – Thursday  8 am - 10 pm
Friday & Saturday  8 am – midnight

Monona Terrace Gift Shop Hours:
Tuesday – Saturday 11 am – 3 pm

Lake Vista Café Hours:
Tuesday - Sunday 11 am – 7 pm (weather permitting)
