~ The Madison Senior Center (MSC) is celebrating its 40th Anniversary of Honoring and Celebrating the Aging Community this September, National Senior Center Month. Since 1983, the MSC has been a cornerstone for older adults in Madison, providing opportunities for healthy living education and activities.
On Thursday, September 21st from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, the MSC will be hosting a special event at 330 West Mifflin Street to commemorate this milestone. The program will begin at 4:30 pm with words from City of Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, a brief history of the MSC, a performance by the Sunshine Arts and Culture Group and live music featuring Mtrane Plus.

The event will also recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to improving the lives of older adults. An art exhibition titled Our Madison: Aging Vibrantly will be unveiled as part of the celebration. The exhibit features local and regional artists such as Jerry Butler, Phil Salamone & Atwood Atelier, Babette Wainwright, Yusef Bin-Rella and Hedi Rudd.
