Madison: Structure fire response

Madison Fire Department responded to a reported kitchen fire late this afternoon on Troy Dr.  When Engine 10 arrived, they found an unoccupied condominium with heavy smoke visible.  Using an aggressive interior attack, crews were able to contain the fire within the unit in a matter of minutes.  No injuries were reported during the incident, and the occupants of the unit are being assisted by the Red Cross.  The investigation into the cause is ongoing, and no damage estimates are currently available.
