Noah Coughlan to become only the THIRD person to ever cross every U.S. State on foot on his fifth and final Run across America. "Run For America : A Tribute to the American People"
MADISON, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Noah Coughlan entered Genoa City on Tuesday, February 24, with Wisconsin marking the start of his 45th U.S. State on his historic 5th Run across the continental United States in the last 15 years. He has previously completed four previous Ocean to Ocean solo treks in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2023. Noah also ran across Ireland in 2020.
While an impressive physical feat, Noah will be the first to tell you that it's not about the running, but about the People. This 2026 "Run for America : A Tribute to the American People" is to engage big cities and small towns honoring everyday Americans and veterans, encouraging unity while highlighting the enduring spirit of our Nation through media and storytelling for a renewed appreciation for America's shared history.

From Maine to New York to Illinois, The People have responded overwhelmingly with enthusiastic welcomes, significant media coverage, dozens of police and fire department escorts, and millions of social media views. His message is simple, "We have much more in common than we do apart."
Noah is currently on Day 131 of 260 with 2500 of 5500 miles complete.
The Wisconsin route will continue through Elkhorn, Whitewater, Madison, Wisconsin Dells, and Eau Claire towards Minnesota.
Noah pushes a jogging stroller with supplies with an 8 foot pole and large American Flag which was flown by the United States Air Force, 70th Air Refueling Squadron on a KC-46 Pegasus on a mission in October 2025.
His remaining States are Wisconsin (45), Minnesota (46), North Dakota (47), Montana, Idaho, Oregon (48), Alaska (49), and Hawaii (50).
The Run For America will culminate after 15 years and 50 States on July 4th, 2026 in Honolulu, Hawaii to celebrate the United States' 250th Semiquincentennial anniversary.
