~ Renowned artist Michael Ford has completed and installed a new public art piece in the City of Madison. The City is pleased to announce the completion of the mural, titled "Colorful Characters," at the Village on Park. Located on the corner of the new parking structure, adjacent to the Urban League's Black Business Hub, the four-story mural features vibrant, abstracted shapes created from letters in "South Madison." Ford also incorporated photographs of past South Madison leaders into his design.

This installation marks a significant milestone for Madison as it is the first project funded through the city's Percent for Art ordinance. The City is proud to support and showcase local artists like Ford and hopes that this new addition will bring joy and inspiration to residents and visitors alike.
