The Retirement Housing Foundation Awards Wendy Scott and Wendi Butkovich Manager and Social Service Coordinator of the Year
KAUKAUNA, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Kaukauna's own Wendy Scott and Wendi Butkovich from Round House Manor were recognized by the Retirement Housing Foundation (RHF) for their response to the EF1 tornado that ravaged Kaukauna last May and caused major damage to Round House Manor, displacing its residents. Both received awards at RHF's annual Management Conference in Long Beach, CA on April 4, 2025.
Wendy Scott, manager of Round House Manor, was awarded Manager of the Year. As a manager, Wendy often asks herself, "Would I want my parents to live in this community? Is the staff treating residents equally, fairly, and kindly?" This compassion and leadership were on display last May when Round House Manor was struck by an EF1 tornado, displacing half its residents for more than five months. Wendy and her team stepped in to help residents relocate to temporary housing and offer support after a harrowing experience.

Wendi Butkovich, who was awarded Social Service Coordinator of the Year, was a crucial part of the team that collaborated with city, county, and state leaders, as well as RHF staff, to secure housing for residents after the tornado struck Round House Manor. Wendi credits much of her success to the strong relationships she developed with her onsite team and her extensive network within the Fox Cities Senior Resource Network, which she has been a member of for over 19 years. "It's not what I know, it's who I know," said Wendi.
RHF is proud to recognize both Wendy and Wendi for their care, compassion, and leadership.
