GREEN BAY, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Machinability is a key element to prototyping metal and plastic parts
The process of prototyping metal and plastic parts requires patience and persistence as Titletown Manufacturing teams collaborate with customers to solve design challenges. We maximize the value of our customers' investment through our commitment to refining these designs until they are as close to perfect as possible.
Prototyping metal and plastic parts can begin anywhere in the manufacturing process. This includes starting from scratch with only a rough drawing in hand, upgrading an existing part, or even reverse-engineering parts that no longer are available.
It is not uncommon in the process of prototyping metal and plastic parts to require several versions before we're able to attain a level of perfection within target tolerance levels. Equipment such as our CNC horizontal milling machine is extremely helpful in our ability to produce parts within .0001 tolerances.

Prototyping metal and plastic parts takes trial and error
Titletown Manufacturing is a regional leader in the production of parts for customers in a variety of industries. We understand the importance that comes with the machinability of designs. It is of little benefit to create a part that is not cost effective to replicate, either by us or the customer.
The only way to truly gauge the cost effectiveness of a design is to run it through the entire process to completion. That's why machinability is a major focus of our efforts in prototyping metal and plastic parts.
Each new part needs to be as nearly perfect as possible in terms of being functional as well as repeatable. It is worth the effort to shave that final couple thousandths of an inch off the prototype to reach that point. This pursuit of excellence saves money in the long run as our customers look to maximize the value of their investment in prototyping metal and plastic parts.
