Business owner and former New York Jets wide receiver Al Toon Jr. joins NGL Board of Directors
MADISON, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL), a Madison-based mutual life insurance company is pleased to announce that Albert L. Toon Jr. is appointed to its Board of Directors. Toon is rejoining the Board of Directors after previously serving from 2003 to 2017.
"We are excited for Al to rejoin the NGL Board of Directors. Al is an experienced business owner and professional who will provide valuable leadership and strategic direction as NGL continues to grow, expand and enhance our product offerings," said Knut A. Olson, NGL President & CEO.

Toon is currently owner of Olson Toon Landscaping, Inc., a comprehensive design-build residential and commercial outdoor services company located in Verona, Wis. In addition, he owns AT8 and Lealep Companies, is a founder and serves as a director for Capitol Bank of Madison, Wis., and is a managing board member and owner of several Wisconsin Burger King franchises. He also owns, develops and manages real estate in Wisconsin and Arizona.
After setting several school football records while attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Toon played professional football for eight seasons with the New York Jets. He is a three-time Pro Bowler and is known as one of the best wide receivers in the Jets' history.
Toon is an active member of the Madison community. He has served as president of the University of Wisconsin's National W Club, and volunteers with various nonprofit organizations, including Arthritis Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Dane County and Middleton Outreach Ministries.
