GREEN BAY, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Complete your Q4 random drug tests before the holidays
We are in the midst of drug testing consortium renewals season as transportation companies and owner-operators make their choices with regard to this important business partner. Wisconsin Drug Testing Consortium (WDTC) manages DOT drug and alcohol testing programs that help our customers remain compliant with DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations.
WDTC has provided consistent DOT consortium services under the ownership and management of former U.S. Army medic Mike Bray since 2007. We help keep our customers up to date with annual DOT Clearinghouse queries, pre-employment drug tests and other requirements of the federal government.
If you are already a current WDTC customer, you can expect to receive your annual drug testing consortium renewal invoice in late October or early November. We send out certificates of enrollment that are valid for the next calendar year upon receiving your renewal. These certificates are crucial, since they are the first item a DOT inspector will ask to see during a visit.

We now offer three complimentary criminal background searches for new customers and existing customers upon confirmation of their drug testing consortium renewals.
Drug testing consortium renewals ensure random test selection
November and December present a variety of distractions in the form of increased freight as well as holiday parties and family commitments. It is not uncommon for drivers in our home states of Wisconsin and Michigan to schedule vacation time around deer hunting season as well.
That is why we recommend completing your required random drug and alcohol tests as early in Q4 as possible. We issue random test selection notifications in late September and early October to ensure you and your drivers have sufficient time to fulfill this DOT requirement. Postponing random tests until after January 1 puts you out of compliance.
Fall is the time for drug testing consortium renewals. Is your current consortium provider living up to expectations? As an accredited, Certified Third Party Administrator (C-TPA), WDTC has the expertise our customers depend on to remain in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
