Steven Meyer's original composition entitled "Arenas and Monuments" for solo guitar is an upbeat fusion of styles that swings with Steven's unique approach to fingerstyle guitar.
MADISON, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Steven Meyer's new solo guitar single release is "Arenas and Monuments". Meyer explains, "My original solo guitar composition of "Arenas and Monuments" developed as I was recording my next studio album for solo guitar. I was interested in creating a fast-paced tune with dramatic elements and a memorable introductory theme. The recording was produced at Audio for the Arts in Madison, WI.
The new single release of "Arenas and Monuments", along with the previously released "Cielo Abierto" and "Scarborough Fair", is in preparation for Steven's upcoming solo fingerstyle guitar album, which will feature Steven's unique solo guitar interpretations of pop classics, standards, world, classical and original compositions.

Steven's recent single releases for his upcoming third solo guitar album include the traditional tune, "Scarborough Fair", a Latin Fusion piece, "Cielo Abierto", and an original solo guitar composition, "Arenas and Monuments".
Steven released his second album "Guitar Au Naturel", in 2018. On "Guitar Au Naturel", Meyer puts his unique approach on well-known tunes such as "Blue Eyes," "Blackbird," "Pipeline" and "Harlem Nocturne," plus classical pieces by J.S. Bach. Steven released his first album, "Choice Selections for Solo Guitar" in 2005.
Steven's extensive musical background includes UW-Wisconsin Milwaukee, years of rigorous sideman work with a variety of bands, and hundreds of solo performances and extended engagements.
