As the month of May approaches, Madison Public Library has announced several closures and changes to their hours. These updates will affect all library locations and services.
On Thursday, May 15, all Madison Public Library locations will be closed for a staff in-service day. This closure will allow library staff to participate in training and development opportunities.

For Memorial Day weekend, all library locations will be closed from Sunday, May 25 to Monday, May 26. The Dream Bus will also be off the road during this time.

While the physical spaces may be closed during these times, Madison Public Library card holders can still access LINKcat to place holds, check their records online, or renew items. Book returns will remain open for 24/7 service and Pinney Library even has a convenient drive-through book drop for patrons.
In addition to these resources, online collections such as eBooks and downloadable audiobooks from Wisconsin's Digital Library are still available. Patrons can also access Kanopy streaming video and Flipster magazines through the library's website at madpl.org/at-home.
For those in need of community resources while the physical libraries are closed, patrons can utilize 211 Wisconsin to connect with food, shelter, safety or other services. It is important to note that these closures also align with City of Madison holiday closures.
Madison Public Library encourages patrons to take advantage of these online resources while they continue to prioritize the health and safety of their staff and community members during this time.
