Madison, WI ~ On Friday, May 26th, Eastside residents are invited to join Alders representing Districts 3, 15, 16, and 17 for an evening of conversation and connection at the Eastside Alders Meet & Greet. The event will take place from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at La Taguara, located at 3010 Crossroads Drive in Madison. Appetizers will be provided.
Common Council President Jael Currie expressed her enthusiasm for the event, saying "I'm looking forward to hearing about the shared and unique experiences of residents in a relaxed setting where they can engage not just with their alder but alders who represent the east side."
Derek Field, District 3 Alder, highlighted the importance of creating low-barrier opportunities for community engagement. He said "Not everybody is comfortable appearing at official City meetings to approach their local officials - and that's okay. I'm excited to meet and hear from fellow East Side neighbors in a casual, low-barrier setting where we can connect and talk about what matters to them."
