More Muscle. "We decided to apply a little more muscle into addressing the market demand for our engineering and manufacturing competencies," said Bobby Patton, President and CEO at Patton. "His sales record has proven that Rich has the muscle for that mission."
Sales. At NRL & Associates Coursey developed business with the likes of GE and Northrup Grumman to the tune of about $15 million in annual revenues.
Skills. Mr. Coursey brings over 20 years' experience in state-of-the-art, high-tech machine fabrication and final-assembly of systems—including strict-tolerance, custom-engineered products in metals, plastics, wood, and composite materials.
Shifting. "Manufacturing continues to see a shift away from Asian sources – a trend that is particularly strong in military and industrial markets where the need to reduce risk is most critical," Bobby Patton said.
Trending. The announcement of Coursey's appointment at Patton comes during a resurgence of reshoring/onshoring among US manufacturing companies driven by rising demand for onshore US fabrication with the supply chain protection it offers. According to SmithSchafer the US manufacturing sector grew for 24 consecutive months as of August 2022.

The business activity is well-described on Patton's' web page: DESIGN, ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING SERVICES.
Onshoring. As a strategy for supply chain resilience, moving manufacturing to the US reduces dependence on easily-disrupted trade routes such as China, Wolters Kluwer reports.
Long Trajectory. Patton has been designing and manufacturing its own brands of networking and communication technology products since 1981.
Market Segments. Now, leveraging US-centric capabilities under one roof, Patton offers technology design and manufacturing services to customers in communications, robotics, aerospace, healthcare, defense, healthcare, power, and security sectors.
