MILWAUKEE - WisconsinEagle -- Mykolaiv, Ukraine —  As we approach the second year of the Ukraine War, @Neo-Eco Ukraine, @Dryhootch USA, and @Alt Architecture + Research Associates LLC are delighted to announce the launch of their healing initiative in collaboration with Ukrainian veterans and their families, named "Rebirth".

This ground-breaking approach, spearheaded by @Dryhootch's evidence-based approach in the US, will address health and well-being issues of the hidden wounds of war such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Moral Injury, and Major Depression. A veteran healing environment will be designed by architect @Paul Alt, and a circular economy and sustainable urban planning approach provided by @Neo-Eco-Ukraine.

The program will initially consist of a series of workshops and peer training in the #Shevchenkova hromada, where Mayor Pilipenko and the residents have pledged land for the construction of a veterans' integrative healing center.

"Rebirth" will consist of three stages on the ground, where veteran support is needed most:

1. Peer-to-peer training, counseling,  and telemedicine mobile app for individuals with PTSD and trauma with a community café run by US and Ukrainian Veterans.

2.    What makes this initiative even more remarkable is the involvement of Vadim Hrytsenko, a designer living in Kyiv, Ukraine, who role in shaping the mobile app during the darkest days of the war, himself working against the backdrop of explosive sounds and air raid sirens.

3.    Paul Alt brings an integrative healing center for well-being and behavioral health, including peer-to-peer counseling. He has designed for the US Veteran's Administrations and other Trauma Centers.

The Rebirth team and Mayor Pilipenko, are asking funds to expand their healing reach and provide vital support to the courageous individuals and their families who are affected by PTSD and conflict-related challenges in Mykolaiv and beyond.
