WAUKESHA, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Supporters of Chosen Inc. of Wisconsin ("Chosen"), a non-profit ministry dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive children and families, will enjoy exciting activity stations at the Schuetze Recreation Center Sept. 6 during its Walk on the Wild Side for Foster Care.
The gathering supports the growing reach of Chosen, which is dedicated to "Fostering Forever Families" through material, spiritual and emotional support for families built upon adoption and foster parenting. Chosen provides clothing and children's items to families through its Family Closet in Waukesha.
The ninth annual event, which begins at 10 a.m., features a walk around Frame Park in Waukesha, activity stations, and lunch.
Brand new to this event is our very own Resource Fair! This will include a selection of tables representing various resources and organizations in the area that support foster care, adoption, and kinship families. We hope to provide valuable information, community connections, and educational materials to both current and prospective foster and adoptive families, as well as those wanting to learn more about how they can get involved.

Event registration is just $10 per person. Participants receive park admission, lunch, a T-shirt and access to all activities. Registration is available at https://bit.ly/2025ChosenWalk. Supporters unable to attend are encouraged to purchase and donate tickets for families to use.
Since its founding in 2016, Chosen has served more than 700 families from 13 southeastern Wisconsin counties, caring for more than 1,750 foster or adopted children. Its Family Closet has given away more than 75,000 items to families since May 2017.
Chosen is dedicated to educating the public about the impact of adoption and fostering, and providing spiritual, material, and emotional support to families who have chosen these oft-misunderstood paths. Chosen shares resource referrals to other organizations and professionals, and is planning a new Mobile Family Closet to better serve adoptive and foster families in our community.
Special thanks to our sponsors; Bob's Cares, Once Upon a Child, Norris Beyond Fostering, Waukesha County Foster Care, and Wellpoint Care Network for making this event possible!
