WAUKESHA, Wis. - WisconsinEagle -- Supporters of Chosen Inc. of Wisconsin ("Chosen"), a non-profit ministry dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive children and families, will enjoy exciting activity stations at the Schuetze Recreation Center Sept. 12 during its Walk on the Wild Side for Foster Care.
The gathering supports the growing reach of Chosen, which is dedicated to "Fostering Forever Families" through material, spiritual and emotional support for families built upon adoption and foster parenting. Chosen provides clothing and children's items to families through visits at its Family Closet in Waukesha and brand new Mobile Family Closet initiative - bringing resources directly to families!
The tenth annual event, which begins at 10 a.m., features a walk around Frame Park in Waukesha, activity stations, and lunch.
Back by popular demand, Walk on the Wild Side will once again feature our Resource Fair! This will bring together local organizations and community resources that support foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Guests can connect with organizations, gather helpful information and educational materials, and learn more about ways they can support and get involved in the foster care and adoption community.

Since its founding in 2016, Chosen has served more than 775 families from 16 southeastern Wisconsin counties, caring for more than 1,700 foster or adopted children. Its Family Closet has given away more than 95,000 items to families since May 2017.
Chosen is dedicated to educating the public about the impact of adoption and fostering while providing spiritual, material, and emotional support to families who have chosen these often-misunderstood paths. Chosen connects families with valuable resources, organizations, and professionals, and now operates a Mobile Family Closet to expand access to essential items and support for foster, adoptive, guardianship, and kinship families throughout our community.
