~ Madison, WI - Alder Nasra Wehelie is excited to announce the continuation of her monthly Lunch and Learn session, featuring Traffic Engineering. The virtual event will take place on Thursday, February 20 from 12 to 1 p.m. and is open to all residents.
Attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into traffic safety and infrastructure planning from Dr. Yang Tao, Director of Traffic Engineering. Dr. Tao will discuss Vision Zero, a strategy aimed at eliminating traffic fatalities and severe injuries while promoting safe, healthy, and equitable mobility for all road users. He will also provide updates on various projects planned for District 7.
The session will include a presentation by Dr. Tao followed by an interactive Q&A session where attendees can ask questions or provide feedback verbally or through the chat box. Questions can also be submitted in advance to Lorissa Banuelos, Community Engagement Strategist, at lbanuelos@cityofmadison.com with "February 20 Lunch and Learn question" in the subject line.
